Membership of Blackthorns:
Individual Unit Membership or Joint Unit Membership.
(This has no relation to Marital Status)
Children belong via their parents membership, at no extra charge.
We are pleased to have a wide range of ages and a mix of
singles, couples and families, creating a family friendly environment.
The club year runs from October 1st, and a full subscription
is payable in the first year, irrespective of when you join.
Depending on the month you join, you will be offered a discount on your second year’s fee if you remain with us, and renew your membership.
Age related membership concessions, for seniors,
apply from the second year of membership.
A membership subscription gives you unlimited access to the club.
If you are considering becoming a naturist, or are an established one already, and wish to consider becoming a member of Blackthorns the first thing to do is to make contact by phone or email and supply your full name and home address.
The visit will be at a weekend so that the Membership Secretary can meet you and show you the club and its facilities and introduce you to Directors of the club and fellow members. Don’t be nervous, it’s all very informal and includes a chat over a free cup of tea or coffee!
You will be asked to bring two forms of ID: typically a driving license, passport, council tax bill or any utility bill showing your name and home address.
A driving license with a photo is ideal.
This initial visit will cost £10 per adult but if you then go on to join, during the same club year, the visiting fees will be deducted from your membership fee.
After a tour around the club you will be able to remain for the rest of the day.
You won’t be expected to make your mind up on the day but you will be given the opportunity to try naturism if it’s your first time. Don’t worry, you don’t have to undress the moment you enter the grounds and only if it’s warm enough, and if you do feel nervous there are plenty of quiet places you can use. You’ll be surprised how easy it is, and how natural it feels, especially when others are already undressed.

You will be asked to have a head & shoulders photograph taken if you decide to join. This is used to identify the applicants, when their application goes to the following Board Meeting for approval, and we place it on display, first names only, until you’ve attended enough times for people to recognise you as members.
All personal information is held in the strictest confidence, in encrypted files, and only seen by the officers dealing with your membership.
You’ll be welcome to visit another weekend or two, if you need time to decide.
